genus "Hosta" It was known incorrectly as "Funkia" for years, and it still is to a very small number of nurserymen. The Hosta is a shade tolerant, flowering, long-lived,clump-forming, perennial herb. There are thousands of known variations, showing numerous SHADES OF GREEN, different leaf shapes and sizes. The diversity of Hosta, has inspired a few people, in Southern Minnesota, to form a Hosta society. SOGHS was founded in 2005.
